Within the framework of COST Action 1406 cHiPSet I have been invited as Visiting Professor at Cracow University of Technology, for a one month research visit about performance and evaluation of Big Data architectures and applications.

I am pleased to announce that I joined cHiPSet COST ACTION IC1406.

The Big Data era poses a critically difficult challenge and striking development opportunities in High-Performance Computing (HPC): how to efficiently turn massively large data into valuable information and meaningful knowledge. Computationally effective HPC is required in a rapidly-increasing number of data-intensive domains, such as Life and Physical Sciences, and Socioeconomic Systems.

I am very proud to announce that I will spend a month at George Mason University, Fairfax VA, USA as visiting professor. I will give a seminar about Multiformalism modeling and its application and will work with prof. Alexander H. Levis at the System Architectures Lab. I take the chance here to thank Alex Levis for all his help and support and his amazing guidance.
